We are looking for a professional Business Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our business operations, based in Évora.
FuelSave (FS) is a real-time data science company that performs analysis for driving optimization. FS provides a mobile app that fits the truck driver's cockpit and performs everyday training on the job. With FS technology, trucking companies can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20%, thus increasing efficiency and reducing hazardous gas emissions.
We are searching for a Business Operations Manager for our Fuelsave Product, who will act as a bridge between the business, suppliers and our product development team to build the enablers for excellent operation and scaling of vehicle fleets.
You will be responsible for creating scalable conditions such as frameworks and team syndicated solutions, setting up relationships with e.g. hardware partner (fabricants, technical installers, hardware providers), clients, fleet parks, fleet managers, trainers, coordinating and facilitating initiatives to speed up acquisition and be responsible for business operations.
The specific duties include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team, find ways to increase the quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately, we’ll trust you to help us remain compliant, efficient and profitable during the course of business.
Summary of responsibilities:
Ensuring all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
Work with management to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
Keep our operations running efficiently and define IT elements (with product team) that will allow us to scale and make these operations more lean
Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
Planning and monitoring the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
Supervising staff from different departments and relay feedback across the entire organization

Proven experience in Management, Operations or equivalent position (4 to 5 years)
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Outstanding communication and people skills
Knowledge of legal rules, compliance and guidelines
In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles in supply chain, finance and customer service.
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
Familiarity with various business software, ERP and CRM
Proven ability to create and finish projects within a fast and complex environment.
A solid interest in transportation and logistics
Pragmatic, analytical, results focused.
Ability to explain complex matters in a simple way.
Good communicator, able to manage different types or character, seniority and job role.
