We're looking for a Data Scientist that will integrate the CONTENT department which is responsible, among others, for developing the branch Data Science across the company. On a more day-to-day basis, the Data Scientist will be part of a squad, which is a group composed of one or more members of each department of FuelSave.
You will own strategic code. You will analyse data, find where efficiency is and take action to help drivers achieve it. Your aptitude for data modeling through datasets and AI algorithms such as K-Means, Neural Networks and data regressions will be generating content, in real-time, and get feedback immediately. At FuelSave, you will be accountable for your own percentage of spared liters and you will see your direct impact in the environment!
FuelSave (FS) is a real-time data science company that performs analysis for driving optimisation. FS provides a mobile app that fits the truck driver's cockpit and performs everyday training on the job. With FS technology, trucking companies can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20%, thus increasing efficiency and reducing hazardous gas emissions.
You will be:
Implementing machine learning, AI and statistics code to be integrated into FuelSave’s products.
Understanding how our truck drivers experience our products.
Performing data mining, blending large datasets from FuelSave to support analysis and drive further insights.
In conjunction with key business stakeholders, delivering and maintaining a roadmap of analysis, with a focus on insights that can change working practices and improve performance.
Partnering with Simulation & Android & DevOps teams to develop new features.
Creating new data pipelines (third-party, APIs, databases).
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You must have:
A Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence or Mathematics.
2-5 years of experience in data modelling, reporting and/or data management.
Experience in using programming languages (Python, R, MATLAB, Scala, C derivatives, etc.) for statistical and machine learning analysis. Our default working language is Python.
Strong math and statistical skills and an ability to apply those skills towards generating logical, accurate and meaningful insights from data.
Demonstrated experience in machine learning techniques: predictive modeling, cluster analysis, classification.
Ability to be self-driven, proactive, systematic, well organised and rigorous about details.
Experience extracting, transforming, wrangling and cleansing large datasets for data analysis.
Experience in Unit Testing.
You should have:
Skills in specifying distributed computing environments suitable for advanced analytics (Spark, Hadoop)
