We're looking for a Simulation Engineer to join the Control Vertical.
A vertical is in charge of defining methodologies and best practices within a domain, to increase Engineering knowledge. On a more day-to-day basis, the Simulation Engineer will be part of a Feature Team, which is a group composed of one or more members of each Engineering Vertical.
You will implement our Test framework and vehicle mathematical models, which naturally are the backbone of vehicle efficiency. There won’t be a meter traveled you haven’t anticipated. Your skills in Vehicle Dynamics, SS models and Control Theory will tell us how to extract the maximum efficiency from every truck and how this information can be passed on time to a driver.
FuelSave (FS) is a real-time data science company that performs analysis for driving optimization. FS is currently developing a mobile app for driving instructions. With FS technology, trucking companies can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20%, thus increasing efficiency and reducing hazardous gas emissions.
You will be:
sharing ideas and proposing features to the VP Product
designing state-of-the-art planning and control algorithms intended to move heavy weight vehicles through complex and dynamic environments.
analyzing data to understand the how with can generate driver-related controls.
help building the Software-In-the-Loop, Hardware-IL and Driver-IL frameworks and test your models on them.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You must have:
MSc or PhD in Robotics, Control, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
knowledge on state estimation, dynamic modelling, and modern control theory (PIDs, MPC).
experience with C/C++, Matlab/Simulink (Python is a plus)
experience implementing a control system for a vehicle and Kálman filters
naturally self-driven, proactive, systematic, well organised and rigorous about details.
familiar with reinforcement learning.
familiar with real-time systems.
