We're looking for a Simulation Engineer that will integrate the CONTENT department which is responsible, among others, for developing all the Vehicle Dynamics and Control for the company. On a more day-to-day basis, the Simulation Engineer will be part of a squad, which is a group composed of one or more members of each department of FuelSave.
You will own FuelSave's Test framework and Mathematical Modeling, which will have a huge impact on our insight on vehicle efficiency.
FuelSave (FS) is a real-time data science company that performs analysis for driving optimization. FS provides a mobile app that fits the truck driver's cockpit and performs everyday training on the job. With FS technology, trucking companies can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 20%, thus increasing efficiency and reducing hazardous gas emissions.
You will be:
Designing state-of-the-art planning and control algorithms intended to move heavy weight vehicles through complex and dynamic environments.
Analyzing huge amounts of data to understand the intricacies of driving. We will put your models to the test in simulation and the real world.
Help building the SIL, HIL and DIL frameworks and test your models on them.
Implementing your models in FuelSave’s product features.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You must have:
Deep understanding of state estimation, dynamic modelling, and modern control theory.
Strong background in machine learning and statistics.
Experience with C/C++, Python, MATLAB/SIMULINK.
Experience implementing a control system for a vehicle.
Willingness to learn new topics.
You should have:
Experience with decision-making algorithms: MDP/POMDPs, game theory, etc...
Experience with deep learning and reinforcement learning.
Experience with embedded Linux and real-time systems.
Exposure to OpenCV and ROS.
Experience designing a GNC stack for the real world.
Experience with Kalman Filters.
